Responsible for producing safe, technically accurate and cost effective electrical designs and deliverables for natural gas facilities.


  • Responsible for discipline management of the project scope of work, budget and schedule, communication of scope changes, coordinating and exchanging technical information with other project disciplines.
  • Load calculations.
  • Equipment Specifications and Layout.
  • Power System Design including 480V distribution, lighting, heat trace, grounding, lightning protection, etc.
  • Instrumentation Design including instrument specification and connection schematic design.
  • Equipment Layout and facility design with other engineering disciplines.
  • Coordinating and exchanging technical information with gas companies, inter-company divisions, architects, owners, vendors and other third parties.
  • Preparing and reviewing design drawings, documents, material, equipment specifications and engineering studies and developing and maintaining electrical one-line diagrams, control schematics, equipment specifications and electrical plan and elevation drawings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited) and 5 - 10 years’ experience is required.
  • A Professional Engineer Licensure and experience in the natural gas industry or related industries is preferred.
  • The position requires thorough understanding of the NEC, IEEE and other related standards.
  • A working knowledge of Hazardous Area classification using API and AGA standards preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 3D, AutoCAD, CADWorx, and SKM software.
  • Good communication and analytical skills are also required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Acrobat
