This job will be located onsite at our office location in Derwent, Ohio. Overall responsibility for providing the automation/controls design of natural gas, hydrocarbon, and industrial projects.  Assist in the design and implementation of assigned projects.  Coordinate with other managers, engineers, designers and drafters in completing project assignments. 

• Provide automation/controls design for small projects, with oversight from more experienced engineers and personnel, with the ability to adapt to changes in scope and design
• Perform design and implementation activity based on project estimated hours and schedule
• Assist in the Preparation of engineering FEED studies
• Ensure all Bi-Con Engineering and client specifications and standards are understood and followed
• Exercise resourcefulness and ingenuity to resolve technical issues
• Design and generate project drawings
• Prepare project deliverables, including drawings, electrical calculations, programming
• Provide project testing and commissioning support, both from office and on-site.

• Preferred experience:  Associate Engineer and 0 - 2 years’ experience, or Engineer without E.I. AND 0 - 1 year experience
• Thorough understanding of the NEC, IEEE, ISA and other related standards
• A working knowledge of Hazardous Area classification using API and AGA standards
• Proficient use of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation programming software.
• Good communication and analytical skills are also required
